I decided not to make a long page out of this, since it is a tribute (plus I need the bandwidth)!
Opening Theme
This is the theme heard at the very first of the show, in back of the
opening speil.
A great cycle-theme with a 70s feel!
Opening Theme Button
This is heard after Jack Barry's (or Bill Cullen's) name was heard
to end the opening.
A very good cue!
Contestant Introductions
Standard Introduction for the contestants on the show. Nice piece,
mainy electronic with a guitar.
Contestant Introductions (Alternate)
This very short variation on the contestant intros was only used on
the kid's version of this show entitled "Joker! Joker!! Joker!!!" in 1979-1980.
Very short.
Contestant Introductions Button
This was used to end the contestant introductions, much the same way
as the opening button.
And yes, this buttoned up on "Joker! Joker!! Joker!!!" too.
Commercial Outro Cue
When the show had to go to a commercial, this was the music you heard.
It is similar to a portion of the music heard in the opening theme, but
is not quite as bombastic. A good variation!
Game Win Cue (Short Version)
Standard cue. This was used when a contestant won the front game and
became (or remained) the champion.
Game Win Cue (Long Version)
This cue was used when contestants won the 5th game in a row, which
in turn gave them a brand new car! Speaking of which......
Car Plug Music
Here was the great music used to plug the cars which were given away!
A superb piece!
Fee Plug Music
The show had to give away some products to departing contestants, and
this is the music you hear in the middle of the show to describe what they
got. Anyone want a case of Ragu spaghetti sauce? :-)
Face the Devil (1978 Version)
Here is the original music used when the champion crossed over to play
"Face the Devil" (the bonus game).
Face the Devil (1982 Version)
This music, which was originally used as the game win cue on "Bullseye",
was adopted as the "Face the Devil" cue beginning with the 1982-1983 season.
A note to the "technical" people, the ending on this is not the real ending
note as used on the show, but I had to end it somehow!
And now, the great prize music!!!!!!!!
Prize Cue #1
A techno-disco piece, had many uses for any kinds of prizes. Probably
one of the most often used of the prize cues. Also used on Tic Tac Dough
quite often too!
Prize Cue #2
Sounds simiar to prize cue #1, but is a piece all its own. Another
frequently used cue also!
Prize Cue #3
This cue has a unique electronic beginning, and has a little snippet
that sounds like the contestant cue, but has the prize cue feel all its
own.
Prize Cue #4
Ever liked dance flavors in prize music? Well, here is a cue to please
you! Another frequently used one also, and quite long too!
Prize Cue #5
Here is a different cue, with a swing beat! Great feel, as I loved
playing swing beats on my trumpet in high school. You'll love this one!
Prize Cue #6
This is another swing cue too. But, this is a further extension of
the "Face the Devil" win cue!
A great download!
Prize Cue #7
Here is the one I have wanted to bring you. A full-girth, bare-bones
electronic disco piece that will make you want to see some prizes! :-)
Prize Cue #8
This is a christmasy-sounding electronic piece. Still was often used
however. Listen if you want to! :-)
Now, if you happen to reach $1000 without seeing that devil, you win! Thus, you will hear this...
Face the Devil Win Cue
Standard cue used when you win the bonus game! In the last 2 seasons
of the show, this was used as the front game win cue. No one knows why
they did that!
Audience Bonus Game Music
In 1982-1984, The Joker's Wild tried a audience bonus game during the
last 10 minutes of the show, and here is the music used when Charlie O'Donnell
(now the announcer on Wheel of Fortune) called the contestants down to
"Face the Devil"!!!!!
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, so, here is one more file.....
Closing Theme
The great end music heard over the credits, and it truly gives a sense
of closure to the show and to this page. A great piece. It even repeats
once for you, as it did on the show.
Well, that about wraps it up. Thanks for coming and listening to the themes. I don't know if I'll be able to put up the music used for trips or not, so we'll see. Thanks again for coming!
